BarDrill does not require an account, but a replay still needs a way to keep a session working and connect completed practice to the browser that used it. This policy explains that distinction. The service is operated by [COPY REQUIRED: legal entity name]. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to [COPY REQUIRED: contact email].
No account or registration profile
There are no user accounts, sign-up or login. The app does not collect your name, email address or payment details. You do not need to create a personal profile to practice. Session history is associated with a browser identifier rather than an account under your name.
That does not mean the website processes no information. Practice results, necessary browser storage and standard server logs support its operation. An identifier described as anonymous is not a promise that every technical record is incapable of relating to an individual, particularly when an IP address is involved.
The two necessary cookies
A first-party cookie stores a random anonymous ID for 1 year. That ID links practice results to the browser you used. It allows the site to associate previous sessions with the same browser when you return, without a sign-in process. It is not an account password or a public profile.
A separate session cookie keeps the replay session working and protects forms through a security token. It supports the current session rather than providing a permanent account. Both cookies are strictly necessary for these functions. They are not used for advertising, visitor analytics or tracking across other websites.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking or clearing necessary cookies can interrupt the functions they support, including the connection between your browser and its stored practice history. Changing a browser setting does not, by itself, send a deletion request for records held on the server.
Practice results stored on the server
The site's server stores practice results linked to the random anonymous ID. These records include the stock symbol, historical day, trades, scores and rule settings. They support the session history and average discipline score shown on the home page for the associated browser.
The app has no account-based way to connect that history across different browsers or devices. A session practiced in one browser should not be assumed to appear in another. Someone using the same browser may also be using the same browser storage, so consider this when practicing on a shared device.
Rule settings stored on your device
Your rule settings are also saved in the browser's local storage on your device. Local storage is separate from the cookies described above and from practice results stored on the site's server. These locations have different roles, even when they relate to the same practice session.
Clearing the site's local storage removes the settings saved there. Clearing all cookies and site data for BarDrill also removes its local browser identifiers and stored settings. The exact controls and wording depend on your browser. Check that you are clearing data for the intended site rather than unrelated browsing information.
No analytics or advertising scripts
BarDrill uses no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or third-party scripts. All files, including the chart library, are served from the site itself. The app therefore does not load a separate chart script from another website as part of displaying the replay.
This describes the app's operation. It does not remove the need for hosting infrastructure or the standard server logs described below. The absence of advertising tracking should not be confused with the absence of technical information needed to deliver and protect a website.
Standard server logs
The hosting provider keeps standard server logs for security and operation. These include IP addresses, browser information and the pages requested. Such logs concern requests to the website; they are separate from the trade and score records that make up your practice history.
The 1-year lifetime stated for the anonymous-ID cookie describes that cookie. It is not a statement that server logs or practice results are automatically deleted on the same schedule. For questions about stored records, including their retention, contact [COPY REQUIRED: contact email].
Clearing data and requesting deletion
You can remove locally stored data by clearing BarDrill's cookies and site data in your browser. This removes the local identifier and saved rule settings and can break the browser's connection to earlier results. It does not establish that the corresponding records have been erased from the site's server.
Server-side practice results can be deleted on request through [COPY REQUIRED: contact email]. If you want both server-side deletion and removal of local browser data, contact the operator before clearing the identifier so the relevant records can be discussed. Do not send security tokens, brokerage credentials or unrelated sensitive information.
The operator may need enough context to locate results linked to an anonymous browser rather than a named account. If applicable law gives you additional rights concerning information relating to you, you can raise those requests through the same contact. Nothing in this policy limits rights that applicable law provides.
Contact and policy changes
If you choose to send an email, your address and the contents you include are part of that communication. This is separate from the app, which does not collect email addresses through an account or registration form. Keep your message focused on the issue or request.
This policy should be reviewed when the site's data practices change. Questions about the current practices can be addressed to [COPY REQUIRED: legal entity name] at [COPY REQUIRED: contact email]. Read the terms of use for the conditions that apply to the service itself.
